Railway Sleepers

In 1994 the company won its first for the supply of the pre-stressed railway sleepers to Northern Ireland Railways. Since 2000 Turkington Precast has been supplying sleepers to Iarnród Éireann who operate the railway system in Southern Ireland.

Railtrack has approved Turkington Precast as a manufacturer of certain sleeper types used on their track infrastructure. The company operates a quality management system to the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001: 2000. It is a member of the rail industry association and has met the 'link up' criteria for the supply of products to the UK Rail Industry.
